5C’s Bushcraft is proud to present its newest addition to the fire plug fire starters the “Last Resort”. The Last resort is a small but powerful tool when it comes to an unexpected, time is life, survival situation. The main body of the tube is just 2 1/4″ long, 3/4″ wide and weighs in at a mere 0.6 ounces. These can be added anywhere, to a keychain, in a backpack or in go bag. As part of an EDC kit, bugout or get-home bag, they take up almost no space or weight.

The tube body is made of anodized aircraft aluminum and is O-ring sealed to be watertight. Inside you will find one of our Fire Plug emergency fire starters that, once lit, will burn for 5+ minutes to give even a beginner an almost foolproof chance at starting a fire. Also included are 5 waterproof, strike-anywhere matches (which are almost impossible to find and are super expensive these days, google it) to get the fire plug started. While our fire plugs require only a single spark to light, once the inside fibers are exposed, 5 matches are more than enough to make sure you have a night with a warm fire or to get that signal fire going in an emergency.

There is actually just a little bit of room at the top of the tube that can be used to carry an emergency pill of some kind. Maybe an Advil or Alieve, or perhaps even a prescription blood pressure, heart medication, or other blue pill intended for emergency use. Odds are if you’re in an emergency situation, you didn’t remember to bring extra medication.

The question is not why you need one of these, the question is… how can you afford not to have one? Of all the things that you can purchase for an emergency situation, these are really something you’ll be happy to have when you need it the most.
